The Pulaski County Commissioners have approved a major equipment purchase for the highway department.
Highway Superintendent Terry Ruff recommended that the county buy a Case 821 loader from RPM Machinery for a cost of $179,225, after trade-in. “The service agreement’s basically three years,” Ruff said. “Parts availability on a Case is probably better than the runner-up, the Doosan.”
While the Case loader costs over $12,000 more than the Doosan, Ruff said the service plan, parts availability, and typical trade-in value for a Case should save the county money in the long-run.
