Starke County EMS Director Keith Emigh is still looking to hire part-time EMTs and paramedics. He told the county commissioners last week he only received one application for part-time work last month.
Emigh adds he’s constantly in need of part-time help to cover round-the-clock shifts at all three of Starke County’s EMS bases. Many EMTs and paramedics pick up shifts with several ambulance services, which presents scheduling challenges.
