West Central High School continues to see success with its vocational programs.
Superintendent Don Street says students in the Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing class recently passed the national certification test. “West Central students scored better than both the state and national average on this test, so congratulations to them and Mr. [Tyler] DeMoss and the great job he’s doing with our advanced manufacturing,” Street says. “Our kids also earned between 12 and 15 credits through Ivy Tech through this program.”
Meanwhile, Street says students in the Trojan Opportunity Academy have earned over 75 credits during the program’s first year. It allows students who have fallen behind the chance to make up the work online. It also lets students take advanced classes that aren’t normally offered by the school corporation.
