Indiana anglers can catch fish for free this weekend. State residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish in the state’s public waters today or tomorrow as part of the DNR’s Free Fishing Weekend.
On other days, anyone over age 17 and a few other special anglers must have a state-issued fishing license. Visit Indiana Fishing License Regulations for more information.
Several events events are planned to coincide with the free fishing weekend, including derbies at Tippecanoe River, Turkey Run and Potato Creek State Parks.
