The three principals in the Eastern Pulaski School Corporation all received contract extensions from the school board this week, but they may not know for awhile how much extra compensation is included.
The new contracts for elementary principal Jill Collins, middle school principal Ryan Dickinson and high school principal Rick DeFries all expire on June 30, 2019.
However, Superintendent Dan Foster says their raises are contingent evaluations, per state statute. Factors in that process include student performance on standardized test scores and other benchmarks.
He adds it’s unclear when the state will provide the information necessary to complete the evaluation process and determine the amounts of the raises.
The school board deferred action on the proposed two-year contract extension for Eastern Pulaski Athletic Director and Winamac Community High School Dean of Students Bill Ball.
