Pulaski County residents can get rid of tires and household hazardous waste tomorrow morning. The Northwest Indiana Solid Waste District is hosting a collection event from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Pulaski County Recycling and Transfer Station in Winamac.
Household hazardous waste and electronics will be accepted during the event. But Transfer Station Manager Brad Bonnell expects tires to be an especially popular item. “Under 20-inch, the first 10 are free,” he told the county commissioners Monday, “and then anything above 20-inch, they start charging accordingly.”
He says three semi loads of tires will likely be removed this weekend, at the expense of the Northwest Indiana Solid Waste District.
