The Hamlet Police Department is looking for more reserve officers. The town council Wednesday authorized Town Marshal Clint Norem to advertise for additional reserves.
He said the department’s had three reserves on the force, and has been working to train three more. “Right now, out of the three that we had originally chosen, one is active,” Norem explained. “The other two are actively seeking full-time positions, so they’re not really meeting the requirements of the training.”
Norem said he would like to get two new reserve officers to take their place.
