The Monterey Days Festival returns for its 20th year this weekend. It begins Friday evening at 6:00 EDT, with craft and food booths.
Saturday’s highlights include Monterey’s town-wide yard sales from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Miss Tippy Teen Pageant from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the Monterey Days Parade stepping off at 4:45 p.m. A concert by the Nightshift Band begins at 6:45 Saturday night, followed by Live Pro Male & Female Wrestling at 7:30.
Sunday’s schedule features a kids sidewalk chalk art contest and the Monterey Days Bike Tour, both beginning at 10 a.m. The Firemen’s Waterball Challenge begins at 2:00 p.m., while lawnmower races are scheduled for 2:30. A full day of entertainment wraps up with “The Goonies” being shown as a free movie in the park at 8:00 p.m.
The Monterey Days Festival ends on Labor Day, with a car show, corn hole tournament, and other fun activities.
