The Oregon-Davis School Board accepted a rather unusual donation Monday.
“It came from Lewis Bakeries. They are donating 115 loaves of bread to our Art Department,” explains Superintendent Dr. Don Harman. “Our Art Department is going to use those loaves of bread to create an art project.” Harman says the school board also accepted a $100 anonymous donation to help students in need at the elementary school.
In other business Monday, the Oregon-Davis School Board held a public hearing on the corporation’s 2018 budget. Harman says it will be very similar to this year’s. It calls for a General Fund of just under $4.6 million, with a total budget of nearly $8.4 million. Budget adoption is scheduled for board’s October 16 meeting.
