A local family is borrowing a trailer and heading to Texas Sunday, to deliver relief items to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Adam Gray says his family had been planning a vacation in North Carolina, but they decided they would rather “go to Texas and help those who have lost everything.”
They’ve gathered several of their own items, like clothing and cleaning supplies, to take to hurricane victims. Anyone who’d like to add a few items of their own can bring them to the Starke County Justice Center parking lot on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, where the Grays will be hosting a collection event. They’re asking for bottled water, baby formula, clothes, shoes, food, cleaning supplies, pillows, and blankets.
