Knox School Board Approves Purchase of Maintenance/Band Truck

The Knox High School Band will soon have a new truck to pull its equipment trailer. On Monday, the school board approved the purchase of a new 2017 Chevrolet Silverado from Cambe Chevrolet of Knox.

Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart said the list price is about $39,000, but the actual cost to the corporation will be $15,541.50, once discounts are applied and two of the corporation’s old vehicles are traded in.

Reichhart hopes the truck will be ready for Saturday’s band competition at Penn. When it’s not being used by the band, the truck will be used as a maintenance vehicle. The truck will be outfitted with a snowplow and other pieces of equipment taken from one of the vehicles it’s replacing.
