The Knox Community School Corporation is not requesting any major changes to next year’s budget. No comments from the public were offered during Monday’s budget hearing.
Treasurer Sherry Fort says it calls for a General Fund of about $12 million. She told the school board there’s nothing out of the ordinary in the proposal.
Budget notices are typically made available to the public on the state’s Gateway website, but there seem to have been some technical issues with the Knox Schools budget. Fort says the documentation was properly submitted to the state.
The Knox School Board is scheduled to adopt the corporation’s 2018 budget during its October 16 meeting.
