Crane Cruise Bicycle Ride to Take Place October 14

Sandhill Crane

See the sandhill cranes while enjoying a bike ride through rural Pulaski and Jasper counties next week. The Medaryville-White Post Township Fire Department will hold the 19th annual Crane Cruise Bicycle Ride on Saturday, October 14.

The ride will set off from the Medaryville Fire Station and take cyclists on a 14-, 25-, or 50-mile route on flat and paved rural roads. Along the way, participants will be able to see feeding sandhill cranes. The event will wrap up with a presentation at the Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area’s crane viewing tower, followed by the return of thousands of cranes to their nightly resting grounds.

Lunch is included in the cost of registration, and refreshments will be served at various stops along the route. For more information, visit CraneCruise.com.
