Teacher Contracts, Arrest Policy to Be Considered by Eastern Pulaski School Board Tonight

The Eastern Pulaski School Board is expected to consider teacher contracts during tonight’s meeting. A compensation plan for employees not covered under the collective bargaining agreement will also be up for approval. Meanwhile, a policy requiring school employees to report all arrests and criminal charges to the superintendent will be considered on second reading.

In other business tonight, the school board will decide whether the Eastern Pulaski Schools will take part in the Cheryl Lyn Welter Family Charitable Foundation. Its goal is to help underprivileged students with the cost of field trips, school supplies, and other minor expenses that may otherwise be out of their families’ reach.

Tonight’s Eastern Pulaski School Board meeting starts at 5:30 EST in the corporation’s Conference/Meeting Center.

Following the regular meeting, board members will hold a work session to continue discussing paving and concrete work, as well as traffic flow around the Eastern Pulaski campus. That work was part of several projects planned, after there was some money left over from the corporation’s recent renovation project. However, board members decided to hold off on the paving until 2018, after only one bid was received for the work.
