Eastern Pulaski School Board Highlights the Middle School Junior Honor Society

Eastern Pulaski School Board members highlighted some very distinguished students at their meeting last week.

The Winamac Middle School Junior Honor Society was recognized during the “spotlight” segment of the meeting. Superintendent Dan Foster explained that the program is a precursor to the high school level Honor Society.

He said that during last Monday’s meeting, a few students in the club spoke about the various activities they participate in as a part of Junior Honor Society.

“They do a newsletter each month that includes like students of the month and some other information about dances and athletic events.” Foster explained, “Another student was on a committee where they have a couple bulletin boards that they do in the middle school area.”

Foster said that another student added how she and a few other members are in charge of publicity and they take photographs for various school events and the bulletin boards.

Superintendent Foster explained that if being a part of Junior Honor Society helps guarantee a spot in National Honor Society in High School as long as students keep their grades up.
