Woman Celebrates Birthday by Raising Funds for Oregon-Davis Students’ Lunch Accounts

Oregon-Davis students who are struggling to afford their school lunches are getting a little help.

Superintendent Dr. Don Harman explains that Robin Wiergacz decided to do something special for her birthday. “She turned 50, and instead of getting birthday gifts and money, she asked all of her friends if they would just donate money to her and she was going to give it to the corporation,” Harman explains. “So she donated $505 to our corporation, to assist students with a negative lunch account, which we thought that that was great, and we greatly appreciated her to do that.”

That donation was formally accepted Monday by the Oregon-Davis School Board.
