At Monday night’s Culver School Board meeting, Superintendent Karen Shuman told members that renovations to the cafeteria at the Middle/High School are officially complete.
She stated that the flooring and furnishing portion of the cafeteria project cost about $90,000 and was paid for with bond funds.
Shuman also shared that there is a little more than $300,000 worth of bond funds leftover that must be spent prior to the end of the fiscal year in December. In order to spend that money, they’ve been brainstorming ideas.
Some potential projects they’re considering include replacing the lighting, remodeling the restrooms there and changing the major entryway at the Middle/High School.
Shuman said they already reached out to three different businesses to get some estimated costs for the proposed work. Once they receive the estimates, she said they’ll analyze the amounts and decide which projects to tackle.
