The Town of Francesville is putting the finishing touches on its sewer project.
Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett says the town recently made some improvements to its wastewater treatment lagoons. “We had too many suspended solids, which they consider algaeous, so of course in the summer, when it was hot, we would get algae in the ponds,” she explains. “So we put an aeration system in, that keeps the water bubbling all the time.”
Now, she says all the project’s bills have been paid, and town officials will wrap up the project with the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission.
