The Oregon-Davis School Board has agreed to work with the Cheryl Lyn Welter Family Charitable Foundation to help with expenses for underprivileged students. Harold Welter discussed the foundation with board members Monday, according to Superintendent Dr. Don Harman.
Its goal is to help with the cost of field trips, school supplies, and other minor expenses that may otherwise be out of their families’ reach. Grants are awarded to teachers, with each school acting as a pass-through organization.
Harman says the Oregon-Davis School Board unanimously approved that arrangement Monday, and information will be shared with staff members
