The Town of Francesville continues exploring the idea of adding a park board.
Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett has been researching park boards in other local communities. “I had talked to two other towns,” she explains. “One town, they’re trying to get rid of their park board. The other town, theirs was just established not too long ago. But we wanted information on how it works and stuff. Our park is owned by the town and the township trustee, so the trustee would have to be involved in any information trying to set up a park board, also.”
She says she presented her findings to the town council Monday. The idea of setting up a park board was first brought up by members of the UpTown Project.
