The Pulaski County Commissioners are once again expected to try opening bids for lawn care and snow removal at some county properties, during tonight’s meeting.
County officials have been looking into whether it might be cheaper to hire an outside company to do the work, rather than upgrading the county’s equipment. But no one had expressed interest in doing the work before the commissioners’ original deadline. Maintenance Supervisor Jeff Johnston agreed to extend the deadline and advertise for lawn care and snow removal separately.
Additionally, the commissioners will soon choose a contractor to rebuild the elevator at the county courthouse. Bids were received from three construction companies last month. They ranged from $489,000 to over $594,000. Construction is scheduled to begin next month.
Tonight’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 6:00 EST at the Pulaski County Courthouse.
