Information about the cause of Barb McCurdy’s death is pending with the Pulaski County Coroner’s office.
Coroner John Behny reports that the only preliminary information available at this time is that she has been positively identified and the next of kin has been notified. The length of time she has been deceased and the cause of her death will be established from toxicology and autopsy results.
Behny said that toxicology and autopsy go hand in hand. He said autopsy results are just one piece of the puzzle and toxicology results will help complete the picture. However, at this time there is nothing to report regarding either process.
During this investigation, the Pulaski County Coroner’s office will be working in conjunction with the Indiana State Police, Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, the Knox and Winamac Police Departments and the Pulaski and Starke County Prosecutor’s Offices.
