Oregon-Davis Elementary School is holding its kindergarten roundup next week. Families with children who’ll be five years old on or before August 1 are invited to stop by and register on Thursday, April 5 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CDT.
Principal William Bennett says the roundup will be very informal. “Our main goal with roundup is to figure out what students are going to be attending at the end of the summer, as well as giving them an opportunity to meet their teachers, see what a classroom looks like,” he explains. “We have videos available to see what a life of a kindergarten student might look like, and then a book and some other things for them, when they come.”
Parents are asked to bring their child’s birth certificate and immunization records. Those who are unable to attend next Thursday’s kindergarten roundup can make an appointment for another time by calling Oregon-Davis Elementary School at 574-867-2711.
