An update on wind turbines will be given to the Pulaski County Commissioners this morning. In the past several months, a number of filings have been made with the Federal Aviation Administration for possible wind turbines in the Francesville and Star City areas. County Attorney Kevin Tankersley has been looking into writing an ordinance that would regulate them.
In other business this morning, the Pulaski County Commissioners will consider a bridge inspection contract with United Consulting. The sale of a piece of county-owned land near Monterey will also be considered.
Highway Superintendent Terry Ruff will discuss a change in his employees’ work schedule, and the commissioners will get updates from Election Board Chair Jon Frain, EMS Director Bryan Corn, Sheriff Jeff Richwine, and Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer. The commissioners will also meet with Gregg Malott with Pulaski Memorial Hospital, as well as a representative from insurance provider Bliss McKnight.
This morning’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 8:00 EDT at the Pulaski County Highway Garage in Winamac.
