A wrecked police vehicle has led to an insurance payout of over $20,000 for Pulaski County. “The pickup truck that was involved in the accident – it’s probably been three or four months ago now – that thing was totaled,” Sheriff Jeff Richwine told the county commissioners last week. “The good news about it being totaled, that was a 2012 pickup truck with 167,000 miles on it, we’re going to get $20,600 for the thing.”
Richwine said he hopes the pickup trucks continue to maintain their value going forward. He said that Dodge Chargers, on the other hand, typically end up selling for around $2,000, once the sheriff’s office retires them.
