Pulaski County is hoping to save money on copier leases by switching to a new provider. The county commissioners Monday approved a five-year lease with Advanced Imaging Solutions for copiers for the sheriff’s office, extension office, and surveyor’s office.
IT Director Matt Voltz explained that Advanced Imaging Solutions ended up being about $150 a month cheaper than Copiers Plus, once maintenance fees were factored in. “We’ll have a little bit more control, as far as ordering supplies and things like that, too,” he added. “And with the dollar buyout, once our lease is up, we pay them a dollar and the copier’s ours.”
On top of that, Advanced Imaging Solutions has agreed to reimburse the county for the cost of buying out the current contracts on the three copiers, and to help ship them back. Voltz says he’s evaluating the county’s copier contracts as each one comes up for renewal.
