The Pulaski County Farmers’ Market continues to expand. Rather than alternating between Winamac and Francesville each week, a weekly market will be held in both communities this year. “This year, they will be every Saturday in Winamac and every Thursday evening in Downtown Francesville,” Community Development Commission Executive Director Nathan Origer told the county commissioners last week. “So they’re expanding the opportunities for the market, and they’ll just be consistently in Winamac on Saturdays.”
The commissioners agreed to allow the Winamac farmers’ market to be held once again on the courthouse lawn.
During last week’s meeting, Origer also presented the commissioners with a commemorative torch from Indiana’s Bicentennial Torch Relay in 2016, along with a plaque that’s been made to go along with it. “It has the state logo and then the names of all of our counties’ torchbearers engraved in it,” he explained. The torch and plaque will be placed in the Pulaski County Courthouse.
