Culver Elementary School’s new Pre-K program has gotten interest from about 30 families so far, according to Superintendent Karen Shuman and Principal Erin Proskey.
Shuman told the school board Monday that two pre-K sections will likely be offered, but funding arrangements are still pending. “I’m waiting to hear whether we get the grant to do On My Way Pre-K capacity grant, which I should know that in the middle of May, on how that is all coming into funding play,” she said. “So at this point, we are moving one teacher into a pre-K position and then we’ll potentially post a second position, depending on the grant.”
Culver Elementary School plans to launch its new pre-K program next school year. The first day of class is August 7.
