The Culver Technical Review Committee met with Developer Thomas Beste on Friday to go over his plan for the proposed Planned Unit Development at the site on State Road 17 and State Road 10.
According to Town Manager Jonathan Leist, Beste amended his original plan in order to address a recommendation that Plan Commission members made when he initially submitted his application
Leist explained that the main concern that Plan Commission members had when the application was submitted a few months ago was that there was only a street connection to State Road 17 and there weren’t any connections to streets in town. They suggested that Beste add a 10-foot bike and pedestrian connection to either Slate Street or Academy Road to add more local access to the development.
As a part of their motion to approve the plan, Technical Review Committee members indicated that Beste should add the bike and pedestrian connection to the drawings he will submit to the Plan Commission members.
With the Technical Review Committee’s approval, Beste’s amended plan will now go before the Plan Commission for review when they meet tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. ET.
