Starting on Monday, June 25th, utility crews will be flushing hydrants in the town of Culver.
Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim sent out a reminder notifying the public that during the process, you may notice that water from the faucet appears rusty in color but it is still safe to drink. However, to alleviate the issue, turn the faucet on and let it run until the water is clear.
Hydrant flushing is typically conducted twice a year in order to remove rust from the town’s water distribution system. Heim said that crews should finish up their work on the hydrants by the end of the week.
