Knox Community Schools Anticipates $30,000 Increase in Title I Funding

The Knox Community School Corporation anticipates a boost in Title I funding for the upcoming school year. The federal program provides resources to schools with high percentages of students from low-income families.

Director of Curriculum and Instruction Peggy Shidaker told the school board last week that Knox had seen a steady decrease in Title I money over the past few years. But the projected 2018-2019 allocation is more than $30,000 higher than the final amount from last school year.

She added that Knox Community Schools is approved to be a school-wide Title I program.
