Oregon-Davis School Board Adopts Handbook for Administrative, Classified Staff

Oregon-Davis School Corporation staff members will soon have a clearer idea of what their positions entail. Handbooks for administrative and classified staff were approved by the school board last week.

Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says the handbooks will outline employees’ pay and benefits, as well as evaluation procedures. “It will help, for example, a custodian or an aide to understand what benefits they have, how many sick days they have, what’s their insurance, and things like that,” he explains. “Prior to this, at Oregon-Davis, we did not have a good handbook, or it was not updated.”

Going forward, Harman says he plans to review the handbooks with the school board each June.
