Oregon-Davis teachers will be brushing up on their skills, when it comes to technology and school safety, among other topics. Superintendent Dr. Don Harman says he updated the school board last week on the corporation’s plans for professional development over the next year.
“We are planning for two days of professional development this summer for teachers,” he explains. “That professional development will involve curriculum and also technology training. Those two professional development days are funded through a grant, so no General Fund money is used. It is being funded through a grant that we’ve received.”
Harman adds that School Resource Officer John Kohles will be working with administrators throughout the coming school year, to educate teachers about school safety. School officials also plan to use certain days over the course of the year to continue professional development in curriculum.
