The Pulaski County Commissioners will get updates from several department heads this morning. Coroner John Behny is looking to wrap up the purchase of the former Winamac Masonic Lodge, so it can be converted into a morgue and office space. The county council and commissioners took action to approve the purchase last month, but the commissioners still have to authorize the actual $50,000 payment.
Building Inspector Doug Hoover will give his mid-year report. Superior Court Judge Crystal Brucker Kocher and Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative Coordinator Natalie Federer will discuss grant funding. Sheriff Jeff Richwine is expected to discuss the possibility of adding a work release center to the basement of the Justice Center, while EMS Director Bryan Corn will give his regular update.
This morning’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting starts at 8:00 EDT at the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
