You can do your part to help Red Cross restock their shelves with blood donations by attending a local drive today.
From 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. (EST) the Community Wellness Center of Winamac will be hosting a blood drive. As a reminder, just one pint of blood gathered from a single donor can be used to help three people in need.
At this point in time, the Red Cross is experiencing a severe shortage so there is a crucial need for donors of all blood types. If you’re planning to go, see if you can talk a friend or family member into tagging along as well.
Aside from the standard snack and a sticker that donors receive during the process, all individuals who raise their sleeve for the Red Cross today will receive a $5 Amazon Gift Card via email.
Walk-ins are welcome but you can also schedule an appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RedCross. The Community Wellness Center of Winamac is located at 120 W 15th St.
