Hamlet Officials Respond to Water Main Break at Trailer Park

Hamlet’s utility staff battled a water main break at the trailer park Wednesday. Town Council President Dave Kesvormas gave an update during Wednesday’s meeting. “From what they understand, it’s between two trailers, underneath part of a trailer,” he explained. “So they’re going to basically go around it and take the bad stuff out and go from there.”

Kesvormas said town officials were working with the trailer park to make reasonable repairs. “As long as it’s in our realm, we’ll be more than willing to help and get everybody back up,” he said. “It’s a partnership kind of thing, and I think that Richard’s always worked well with us on that.”

Additionally, Kesvormas said that Water and Street Superintendent Fred Rowe has located the trailer park’s main water meter pit, and there’s a chance he’ll be able to repair the existing meter.
