A recent fund raising event helped raise nearly $2,000 for the Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation.
When school board members met on Monday, they accepted a donation from Jim Dobson Ford. Superintendent Dan Foster said the dealership held a “Drive-4-Ur-School” fundraiser over the summer and raised a total of $1990. Foster said that money has been earmarked for school safety.
Members also accepted a $250 donation from Gibraltar Design. Superintendent Foster shared that Gibraltar makes a donation every year to show their appreciation for the corporation’s continued business. He noted that donation will be placed in the Helping Hands Fund, an account that it utilized to help pay for overdue lunch fees and other expenses that may be out of a students’ reach.
Additionally, a small chest freezer was donated to the athletic department by Roberta Warren to be used in the concession stand and the Warpath Wrestling Club donated a television for the wrestling room so wrestlers can watch and review their matches.
