The Starke County Election Board has set early voting hours, ahead of November’s General Election. The early voting period runs from October 10 through November 5.
During that time, in-person absentee voting will take place Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Starke County Courthouse. Extended hours will be offered on Friday, October 26 and Friday, November 2, when polls will remain open until 6:00 p.m. Early voting will also be available on two Saturdays, October 27 and November 3 from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. In-person absentee voting will end Monday, November 5 at noon.
Election Day voting will take place on Tuesday, November 6 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Starke County residents voting on Election Day will have to vote at their local precinct polling place. Voters are asked to bring proper Indiana identification.
Additionally, Starke County will hold a public test of its electronic voting system on Wednesday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the courthouse.
