The Knox School Board has streamlined the approval process for field trips. Under a policy update approved last week, only out-of-state and overnight field trips will have to go to the board for approval. The rest can be approved by the superintendent.
Up until now, all field trips were supposed to be approved by the school board at the beginning of each school year. But Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart noted that it can be difficult to anticipate all the field trips that could come up in advance.
