Vaping will no longer be allowed in Pulaski County’s government buildings. The county commissioners voted Monday to add language on vaping into the county’s tobacco policy.
County Attorney Kevin Tankersley said that as it’s currently written, the policy only deals with items that are explicitly tobacco-related. “I’ve had a department contact me because they’ve had employees that are vaping because they say, ‘Well, the policy says “tobacco products” and that’s not technically a tobacco product,'” Tankersley explained.
He said he’ll have the updated policy language ready for the commissioners’ approval next month.
