North Judson officials are encouraging residents to show their holiday spirit and light-up the town by hosting a residential outdoor decorating contest.
Prize money will be awarded to the two best-decorated homes located within the incorporated town limits. There is no fee to enter the contest but pre-registration is required. Forms must be turned in at Town Hall, located at 310 Lane Street, no later than Friday, December 7th.
Registered homes will be judged during the weekend of Saturday, December 15th and Sunday, December 16th.
The contest is for exterior decorations only, although judges will take into account visible window decorations. Town officials note that the judging will be based on “curb appeal” as viewed from the street so judges will not enter properties to access the side or backyards.
The winners will be announced during the council’s meeting on Monday, December 17th. The owner of the two best-decorated homes will receive $125 each.
