The Pulaski County Commissioners won’t be moving back to the courthouse Monday, after all. Monday’s meeting will once again be held at the County Highway Garage, according to Auditor Laura Wheeler.
She said in an email, “Because there are way too many things to happen in a short period of time and no way to predict the availability of the elevator, it has been determined that the meeting location be changed back to the County Highway Garage.”
The replacement of the courthouse elevator has caused county council and commissioners meetings to be held at the Highway Garage for the past eight months, in order to have an accessible meeting space. County officials announced a few weeks ago that meetings would move back to the courthouse starting November 1, but the opening of the new elevator has since been delayed by a fire alarm issue.
Monday’s Pulaski County Commissioners meeting is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. EST at the Pulaski County Highway Garage.
