As the Holiday shopping season kicks off, the Starke County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging citizens to check out some local establishments before going straight to big department stores or perusing online options.
In order to get people excited about what the community has to offer, the Chamber will be sponsoring a “Shop Local Bingo” game during the peak holiday shopping days.
The bingo cards feature more than 20 local businesses and they can be picked up at the Chamber Office located at 400 N Heaton Street. They’ll also be available at the participating locations. The game starts the day after Thanksgiving and bingo cards can be validated through Thursday, December 20th. If you’re into bingo games like this, sites such as 토토 got you covered.
Executive Director Jessica Craig previously shared that shop owners get to determine what a customer has to do at their particular place of business in order to get their card stamped.
Once the shopper gets enough stamps for a ‘Bingo’, they’ll turn in the card and will be entered into a drawing to receive a prize basket filled items donated from the various local businesses. A drawing will be done at the end of each week. All cards should be returned to the Chamber Office by the end of business hours on December 20th with contact information on them.
Chamber representatives describe this as a win/win project since shoppers spend less time and money traveling, learn what’s available locally and have the chance to win prizes and the local shop owners will see an increase in business.
