The Eastern Pulaski School Board said goodbye to a longtime member last week. Mike Tetzloff attended his final meeting, after more than 16 years on the board.
His fellow board members and other school officials took turns thanking him for his years of service, including Superintendent Dan Foster. “[He] has been an integral part of this board and this community,” Foster said, “and you’ve led with integrity. You’ve led with your heart and your head. And the students and staff at Eastern Pulaski are better for having you the last 16-and-a-half years, and we wish you well.”
School Board President Deke DeMarco presented Tetzloff with a commemorative plaque on behalf of the board.
That same night, the Oregon-Davis School Board recognized outgoing members Andrea McIntosh and Shirley Budka, according to Superintendent Dr. Don Harman. “Andrea was a school board member for six years, 2012 to 2018,” Harman explains, “and then, Shirley was on our board for 18-and-a-half years, from 2000 to 2018.”
They’ll be replaced by Brandie Ecker and Kyle Hinds in the new year.
