The Knox Mayor’s Office extended their appreciation to everyone who participated in the city’s Holiday Decorating Contest and announced this year’s winners.
Carlson Drive was really feeling the Christmas Spirit, with the second and first place winners both residing there. Mary Ann Wheeler won $100 for her decorations and was declared the first place winner while Tom Parkison was awarded the second place prize of $50.
The Bower Street residence belonging to Theresa Haas won third place and Butch Morgan’s home on Prettyman Street was declared to be the fourth best-decorated home in the city. Each winner was awarded $25 for placing.
The judges also named the homes of Leanne Homoky on Main Street and David Metz on John Street as honorable mentions.
