LiquiForce Crews Complete Sewer Lining Project in the City of Knox

A major sewer lining project that was being conducted in the City of Knox has been completed.

Wastewater Department Superintendent Kelly Clemons discussed the project with members of the Board of Works when they met last Wednesday. She mentioned that the videos taken during the project were received and viewed.

She added that the invoice for the project was submitted and noted that it was for about $1,400 more than the original bid that was submitted by LiquiForce back in the summertime.

She explained, “So the original bid was $81,460. That invoice was for $82,916. There was a difference from what the original bid was because we pulled two lines off and added another line.”

Even with the cost adjusted, the work performed by LiquiForce was still considerably less than the other two bids that were submitted back in June. When bids were initially received Instituform and LayneInliner submitted based bids of $90,071 and $106,530, respectively.
