The Pulaski County Commissioners are tweaking their meeting schedule slightly in 2019. They’ll continue to meet the first and third Mondays of each month at the courthouse, but the meeting on the third Monday will now start at 8:30 a.m., instead of 8:00.
During last week’s meeting, Commissioner Kenny Becker explained that will make things easier for Auditor Laura Wheeler. “That gives Laura a little more time to get around because the time she gets up there and gets all the paperwork; I don’t blame her one bit,” Becker said. The meeting on the first Monday of the month will remain at 6:00 p.m.
The county council won’t finalize its 2019 meeting schedule until January, but members agreed this week to set their first meeting of the year for Monday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the courthouse.
During last week’s commissioners meeting, they also approved the list of 2019 county holidays. County employees will get 12 holidays next year. That’s slightly fewer than this year, since Election Days won’t be included. There are no county offices up for election next year, but there will be some town elections.
