The Knox-Center Township Fire Department will have a handful of firefighters stationed in town in anticipation for this weekend’s snowfall.
According to Starke County Emergency Management Agency Director J. Nier, Fire Chief Kenny Pfost contacted her on Friday in order to get some sleeping arrangements set up at the firehouse. Director Nier said she supplied him with some cots, blankets and pillows.
According to Nier, Chief Pfost indicated he was going to have about six firefighters stationed there so that if they were toned for an emergency, they wouldn’t have to travel from all the way from their homes in the inclement weather.
