Hamlet town employees are getting a three-percent pay raise for 2019. The town council finalized the salary ordinance for appointed officials Wednesday, after approving a similar raise for elected officials last month.
The increase gives the town marshal an annual salary of almost $44,200, while the full-time deputy will make almost $37,100. The street superintendent will be paid just over $41,900 in 2019. The pay rate for street department help will be determined once town officials decide whether they want to hire another full-time employee or two part-time ones.
Part-time workers in all departments will be paid $14.55 per hour.
