High winds could mean the potential for downed tree limbs this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. A High Wind Watch will be in effect Sunday from 3:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST.
Winds are expected to pick up late Saturday night, with the highest speeds predicted Sunday morning and early afternoon. Sustained winds of up to 40 miles per hour and gusts of up to 60 miles per hour will be possible.
The National Weather Service says downed tree limbs could lead to blocked roads, structure damage, and maybe isolated power outages. Unsecured outdoor objects could be blown around, and driving in high-profile vehicles could become hazardous, especially on north-south roads.
